I’m just back from a fantabulous two-week family vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where we stayed at three different resorts and condos in the area. (This Vacation Gal sometimes has trouble making up her mind when it comes to accommodations; I like sampling many, even if it means packing and moving every several days!)
Oh, we actually stayed at four different places, if you count the budget hotel where we lasted only one night. (Note to self: Budget accommodations south of the border can be very sketchy!) Don’t worry, in the coming months I’ll detail where you and your family should not stay (Hotel El Pescador), as well as my hearty, firsthand recommendations — so much to tell you about our family’s summer trip!
Here’s a teaser: We spent three nights at the Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Spa, in an oceanfront suite. There were so many great things about this resort — namely it’s location just a five-minute walk to Puerto Vallarta’s downtown area and main boardwalk lined with restaurants and clubs — but the sunsets we enjoyed each evening from the hotel’s beach were absolutely breathtaking. I couldn’t snap photos fast enough!
