Comfort and travel should go hand in hand, but we all know that’s not always the case. I recently came across Columbia Sportswear travel apparel line and it’s everything a traveler could wish for as far as comfort and versatility is concerned.
This Columbia line easily offers the best travel clothes. Why? This collection was designed specifically for transitions in weather and temperature.
The clothes have Omni-Shade Protection which allows you to play in the sun and still be protected from harmful UV rays. Believe it or not, each of these clothes has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) ranging from 15 to 50. The line is also equipped with Omni-Dry Advanced Evaporation which means the material helps you stay dry and comfortable
since the moisture is dispersed away from your body – especially when you are active like hiking or walking theme parks.
Here are four Columbia items I had the opportunity to review, and it ends up that I highly recommend each piece if you’re looking for casual, comfortable travel clothes.
The Tangier Travel Top (UPF 50), top photo, is my favorite travel shirt this year. It’s soft, comfortable and stretchy. I love that it can be dressed up or down and goes with any color shorts or pants.
Silver Ridge Stretch Shirt (UPF 30) is my ideal plane shirt since it’s great for layering. But what I really love is that you can keep the sleeves long or roll them up secure them with a strap and button. The material is very soft and comfortable. If you’re wondering what to layer it with, try Columbia’s Bombay Bound Tank (UPF 15). I’ve made this tank my bottom layer now that the weather is warming up.
Speaking of spring, now that it’s here the Silver Ridge Stretch Capri pants (UPF 50) are perfect to wear with some cute tennis shoes and any of the above tops. The legs can stay longer or roll up. These are perfect for a plane ride or hike outdoors. Each item comes in various colors. If you’re looking for the best travel clothes this season, I highly suggest you checkout Columbia Sportswear. You won’t be disappointed.

This is good to know – I’ve been investing more time in finding hats and clothing that have sun protection factors myself, and I’ll keep these Columbia travel clothes in mind.
I covet the Tangier Travel top! What a great empire-waist style.
Do they come in large sizes or only for skinny minis?
Hi Nancy, These go up to XL (pants size 16), but I know Columbia does offer some plus-size clothes.
